Remember when James Bond finds Jill Masterson dead on his bead, all covered in gold from head to toe?
She's not dead, we found her at the Geneva Motor Show. Obviously, the ones who hired her are Aston Martin, makers of the legendary DB5, a car that's about as famous as agent 007 himself.
But what's so special about this Aston that it needed promoting? Well, the company is celebrating its 100th anniversary, and to celebrate it bought itself the ultimate birthday gift, a car that doesn't exist. They asked the coachbuilders at Bertone to design and build a one-off shooting brake or estate version of the Rapide four-door coupe.
The car now known as the Bertone Jet 2 is worthy of any retro Bond movie roster, with its wood and leather interior looking all gentlemanly. Too bad the only thing hiding under that dash are airbags and electronics.
