Gold Chrome-Wrapped Corvette is as Flashy as They Come – Video, Photo Gallery

During our test-drive of the C7 Corvette with the Z51 Performance Package, we were enthralled by the 460 horsepower of the LT1 Small-Block V8 and the poised chassis. But then again, the jaw-dropping visuals of the Stingray are more enticing than the performance.

For this reason alone, I'm trying to understand why did the owner of this $150,000 Forgiato widebody Corvette upped the tuning ante to such lengths that he also commissioned a gold wrap for his pride and joy. Thankfully though, a matte black wrap has been applied to contrast the gold wrap to some extent.

Overall, it's hard to get over this 'Vette's "Look at me!" credentials

An interesting detail we found out by watching the video below is that London-based Gold & Co. has sponsored the car. The British outfit is well known for its gold-plated iPhone 6s, iPads and BlackBerry terminals, but putting its name on a gold-wrapped Corvette is something new...
