With September being the month when the W222 generation of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class finally arrives in US showrooms, MB USA has decided that it would probably be a little more helpful for its American clients to have their own configurator on the official website.
Since it was launched just today, we were curious and played around for a bit with it, managing to increase an S 550's price from $92,900 to $143,604, a price which is pretty much represents the maximum you can currently spec your very own US-bound “Sonder Klasse” without getting into Designo details.
We didn't add the ugly all-season floor mats and stuff like roof cargo containers or bicycle rack, so naturally, if you think you can beat our “score” feel free to use the configurator and tell us your conclusions.
Currently, the Mercedes-Benz S-Class can only be had with the 4.7-liter twin-turbocharged V8 in the United States, but an entire range of engines will be available soon, including the just-launched S 63 AMG model.
