The BMW M4 is the car of the moment in Munich. Sure, the Motorsport division launched the new X5 M and X6 M models too this year but until we actually get to drive them, the M4 is where it’s at.
BMW made sure that the launch of the new model would be done right and they offered customers all sorts of experiences, from training programs using it to test drives around town and what nots.

This year’s BMW M Fascination Nordschleife also included taking the new Coupe out for a ride on the world famous Nurburgring and the video below recorded such an experience.

Actually, the video itself is a pace car lap at the end of a training day. We don’t know who the driver is but he seems to know his way around the Ring pretty well and the time he posted between Bridge to Gantry is okish at 8:18.

Even so, BMW claims that the car that replaces the old E92 M3 Coupe model will be faster around the German track by 13 seconds, dropping under the 8 minute mark.

If its predecessor was clocked at 8 minutes and 5 seconds, the young blood is reportedly capable of doing the same lap in 7 minutes and 52 seconds.

That’s all thanks to the revised chassis but also due to the reduced weight and new engine. Compared to its predecessor, the M4 has a 3-liter biturbo engine under the bonnet making 431 HP (11 more) and 550 Nm (150 more) of torque.
