Here’s what you hate most, the lack of time, space, and silence when you and your car are alone in the garage. Hot summers only make things worse, and it feels like there’s always someone or something ruining your perfect man-machine time. There may be a solution soon, especially if you’re from Pontiac, Michigan. Here, the General Motors plant that closed in 2008 will soon turn into petrolhead wonderland.
There may not be any cars getting out through the doors of the former GM plant on the corner of Woodward Avenue and South Boulevard, but if Brad Oleshansky’s M1 Concourse project succeeds a lot of other autos will surely get inside instead. And not just cars, supercars, muscle cars, exotic beauties and who knows, maybe even a couple of hypercars too.

Yes, you’ve guessed what the customer target is, medium-wage petrolheads for the least, considering the cheapest auto condominiums sell for $100,000.

According to The Detroit News, for that, car-loving customers will get a 600 square feet (55 square meters) condo for two to four vehicles. That is if they haven’t already opted for a more expensive variant that is 1,200 square feet (111 square meters) allowing up to eight autos inside. This one is $250,000 while the biggest option costs half of a million dollars and doubles the size.

The car apartments may offer climate controlled loft space and a customizable layout so owners can work and play with their cars in comfort, but no humans will be accommodated here. Further amenities will be added to the facility including office, shopping and restaurant space. And if all these haven’t already convinced you, maybe the plans to develop a 1.5-mile racing circuit throughout the grounds which is also part of the multi-million project sure will.
