While the popular A-Team TV series that aired between 1983 and 1987 was packed with spicy characters, from B.A. and Hannibal to Murdoch and Faceman, many aficionados remember the show thanks to its four-wheeler star, a customized 1983 GMC Vandura. And while that van pulled some serious tire-smoking, it wasn't afraid to leave the asphalt behind when the mission demanded it. Well, the rendering we have here takes that off-the-beaten-path part one step further.
The '83 Vandura was part of the vehicle's third generation and juggled assets such as ruggedness (after all, its steering column and brakes were borrowed from the Chevrolet C/K truck series) and a customization friendly nature - the latter came thanks to the multitude of configurations, which involved three wheelbase values, just as many door options, six engines to choose from and no less than four trannies.

Now, the TV show portrayed the adventures of a former US special forces group that had escaped from military prison following a wrongful conviction. Sure, they were on the run, but acted like mercenaries, albeit on the good side, with trouble being on the daily agenda.

As such, the Vandura featured special goodies such as a grille guard, a red roof spoiler, rims using the same color, fog lights and a side stripe that also came in red, among others.

Well, this rendering brings an approach that might-ve seem the A-Team going about its business on the trails, albeit without the livery of the said blue collar hero. As such, a lift kit and all-terrain tires, wrapped around solid wheels, make for the main ingredient of the mix.

Digital artist Yasid Oozeear, who delivered this eye candy, skipped the said guard, albeit replacing it with a massive steel bumper - this doesn't just help with getting obstacles out of the way, but also holds a winch and a pair of tow units.

Gone are the roof spoiler and the windshield top-mounted sun visor, albeit with a set of extra LED lights now sitting where the latter used to be. So, be it night or day, this Vandura can help the crew get the job done.
