General Motors brand GMC has announced the introduction of a new trailering guide application designed to give GMC drivers a better understanding of trailering techniques and capabilities.
Available at Apple’s iTunes store, the free app contains trailering tips and information, including maximum trailer weight ratings by model, a dedicated learning center, a glossary of commonly used terms and section that focuses on dinghy (flat) towing.
Video content that can be accessed via the Trailering 101 section, in the dedicated learning center, was developed earlier this year as the company was getting ready to launch the all-new 2014 GMC Sierra 1500 full-size pickup truck.
“Our customers believe in the right tool for the job, and this app helps them get the most out of their GMC trailering capability in a convenient and accessible way, whether they’re hauling a utility trailer across town or a fifth-wheel cross-country,” said Tony DiSalle, vice president of GMC Marketing.
