GM Trembles – Ford to Reveal All-New F-150 Pickup in Detroit

GM has barely revealed its two new trucks, the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and 2014 GMC Sierra, and Ford, their arch-rival in the sector, is already trying to attract some attention for themselves. They have announced that they will be revealing their new F-150 pickup truck, at the Detroit Motor Show, which begins at the middle of January.

While the offerings from GM may have received some improvements over the previous generation, Ford has done a lot more with the F-150, which they say is now 15% lighter and more efficient than the model it replaces. Following its January unveiling, Ford will be launching the F-series truck in the fall of 2014, as a 2015 model.

It is a very important vehicle for both Ford and the entire market sector, which accounts for a whopping 11% of the total number of vehicles sold in the US, and with the use of their EcoBoost engines, the new truck will make a very compelling case for itself.

The Blue Oval’s marketing campaigns for the truck will undobutedly emphasize the weight reduction and improved efficiency, as they are doing with the Transit van, which will be available in the US next year, when it replaces the far less efficient E-Series vans.
