GM will be launch a Chevrolet-badged practical seven-seater MPV called the Spin, a vehicle which will be built in (and for, mostly) Indonesia, and more specifically in GM’s Bekasi plant located in West Java. Production is slated to start some time in the first part of 2013.
This announcement follows, well, another announcement, but this time it was made back in August 2011, when GM officials decided that they would be investing $150- (€119-) million to start production at the Bekasi facility, a move which created 800 jobs, and it gave the Indonesian plant an initial capacity of around 40,000 units per year.

According to GM Southeast Asia President Martin Apfel, he said that the "Spin is a great-looking, efficient and functional small MPV, and the only vehicle in its class to offer a six-speed automatic transmission. Spin will be affordable to purchase and - just as important - affordable to own."

No official images of the 7-seater MPV been released, but the car has been spotted testing in its home country of Indonesia.
