General Motors has published the first teaser photo of the next-generation Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon mid-size pickup trucks that are scheduled to hit US dealerships in late 2014 for the 2015 model year.

No actual details have been revealed, but GM president Mark Reuss said, back in April, that the two vehicles will arrive with “a lot more fuel economy” and with obvious brand differentiations.

“Colorado and Canyon will join the all-new 2014 Silverado and Sierra 1500s, and the upcoming Silverado and Sierra HDs, to give Chevrolet and GMC the industry’s most comprehensive lineups of pickups, helping customers choose the right truck for their needs,” General Motors said in a statement.

Initially introduced in 2004, the Chevrolet Colorado was discontinued for the United States last year. The pickup truck is still built in Thailand and Brazil, while Holden sells its own version in Australia.
