Last weekend, the pace car returned to the track at the Belle Isle IndyCar Grand Prix. but this time with GM North America president Mark Reuss behind the wheel. “It’s an honor for me to represent all the people that worked on this car for more than two years. This event is very special for Detroit and I’m thrilled to drive the pace car,” Reuss said before the event.

While driving the Corvette C7 pace car, Reuss also talked about his favorite new feature on the 2014 sportscar, the rev-match downshift, while taking notice of the Belle Isle track’s revisions, which were added after last year’s race was red-flagged due to broken pavement.
