General Motors is reportedly planning to offer the hatchback version of the Chevrolet Cruze in the United States and a Porsche Panamera rival wearing a Buick badge.
Speaking earlier this week in Detroit, GM president Mark Reuss revealed that the five-door hatchback variant of the next-generation Cruze could become available in the US as well, while Buick is working on "a much more beautiful Panamera" flagship model, Forbes reports.
Additionally, Reuss said General Motors could also introduce a new pickup truck positioned between the heavy-duty and the medium-duty, a "Ford Transit Connect-fighter" and an affordable "contemporary wagon for mainstream America", but declined any other details on these future vehicles.
The only thing we know so far is that the next-generation Chevrolet Cruze is scheduled to be launched for the 2016 model year. We'll be back on the subject as soon as General Motors comes out with more info.
