Global Race Car Auction to Be Held in Manchester in February

Affluent race lovers will soon have the chance to purchase the most wanted Formula racing vehicles and motor-homes from the world of rallying at the first race and rally car auction of 2009, which will take place in Manchester on 18-19 February. For those who don't manage to go to Manchester, the event will be also broadcast via the Internet.

The event organized by Simon Charles Auctioneers&Valuers is sponsored by Crash.Net and is expected to attract bidders from the whole world via their unique real-time bidding system. That means the race vehicles will be auctioned from 2 p.m. on 19 February, giving free track to potential buyers to log-in from any part of the globe in real time.

The auction will include race and rally cars from all categories but also classic and historic models. For the moment, enthusiastic buyers can already download their entry forms from the race car auction official web site.

But there is more: starting with January next year, interested buyers will be able to see a full color catalogue of all the vehicles and photos of many racing cars will be available online on the Simon Charles Auctioneers web site.

In the famous vehicles category, one can also find the only complete example of the famous GH2 Formula 1 car that never raced again after Graham Hill. The racing vehicle was built in 1975 and was driven by Damon Hill in 2005 at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.

However, the auction is expected to be over-subscribed and many of the vehicles might be sold overseas but only future can tell for sure.
