Despite what the peeps from MotorWeek would lead you to believe in the following video review, the Mercedes-Benz GLK 250 BlueTec isn't the cheapest GLK model in the United States, at least according to the official MB USA website.
Officially, the GLK 250 BlueTec starts at $38,590, while its more powerful GLK 350 brother beings at $37,480.
Considering that the GLK 350 sports a 3.5-liter V6 with 306 hp (302 bhp) and 370 Nm (273 lb ft) of torque, it's obviously the faster and would usually be the more expensive model.
The GLK 250 BlueTec, on the other hand, sport a four-cylinder, sequentially-turbocharged, 2.1-liter diesel that develops 204 hp (200 bhp) and a whooping 500 Nm (369 lb ft) of torque.
In other words, for more money, the four-cylinder diesel offers less power, more torque and a better fuel consumption. Is it a nice trade-off? Watch the following review for more GLK 250 BlueTec advantages and find out.
