Back in August, we learned that Mercedes was planning to locally assemble the C-Class sedan in Brazil, as Daimler wants to target this market with local production in 2015.
A new report from Bloomberg released a few hours ago says Mercedes will make an official announcement later today. But that's not the interesting part. Along with the C-Class, the three-pointed star will also make the GLA crossover.

However, the factory won't be opened until 2016, one year later than was originally said.

The GLA is a compact crossover built on the same platform as the A-Class hatchback and the CLA four-door coupe which is on sale in America since September.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
