Volkswagen will come at the 2011 Geneva Auto Show with the new Tiguan and, according to people from within the company, with the convertible and cabriolet version of the sixth generation Golf. But those who will attend the show will also got the chance to see two different concepts in Volkswagen's booth, both designed by Giugiaro for the Swiss venue.
The photos you're seeing here have been leaked on the Internet from the European patent office and, although the German officials have not commented on the topic, they seem to picture some sort of Golf and Polo concepts.
Not much can be commented on the two concepts as Volkswagen until now has remained tightlipped on the concepts but, if they indeed preview some future production models, expect them to be different in terms of exterior design. The vehicles are still boasting the Volkswagen-signature grille and other elements created by the German brand and, since they're created by Giugiaro's Italdesign, they look pretty good.
As for the two new Golf variants to be presented at the Swiss venue, most people expected them only for the seventh generation of the popular compact model, but Volkswagen is apparently rushing things a little bit, probably in an effort to begin sales later this year. In addition, the Germans will also present the Microbus concept designed in 2011 and rumored to enter production sometimes in the near future.
autoevolution will be attending the 2011 Geneva Motor Show, so stay tuned for some real up close and personal shots of the vehicles, as well as for first-hand details of the motorized contraptions presented at the event.
