Girls Can Kick-Start a Harley-Davidson

Girls on motorcycles are always sexy, no matter whether we’re counting one-piece suits, an S1000RR and 200 mph (320 km/h) on the track, colorful MX gear and knobbie-shod bikes jumping over mounds or tight leather pants and a chopper’s rumble. It seems like it’s in our genetic code to love ladies and motorbikes.

Still, when it comes to choppers, things may become a little iffier, as some of the older models are equipped with a kickstart system only. Some motocross and enduro machines are no different, some might reply. They’re so right, but most kick-start MX machines have small engines, usually under the half-liter mark, and many of them have an automatic decompression system which makes kickstarting so much easier.

Old-school cruisers usually lack this system and in certain cases these bikes may be a pain the rear to kick start even when the rider is a big strong man. Factoring in a potentially weak battery and the less-than-ideal running order of a bike adds an extra layer of unwanted hardships to riding a kick-started bike. And of course, if the engine is cold, things can get close to the thin line separating riding fun and nightmare.

Unfortunately, if you’re riding a kickstart bike, you’ve got no other solution than to kick until it starts, and this may prove to be frustrating and tiresome. Perseverance is the key and the lady in this video is just showing the world how it’s done. It’s definitely not easy, but the rumble of the bike rolling down the street is the best reward. A big hand for this lady, please!

PS: Tight leather pants and a HD camera would have made this all the more interesting, don't you agree?
