Guys riding scooter fast, caught off-guard even they shouldn't have, crashing and acting stupidly because of zero first aid knowledge... sounds like some sort of movies scenario, doesn't it?
Well, it's not a movie, unfortunately, but a very real incident on a Taiwanese mountain road. The rider did not anticipate passing from tarmac to gravel and obviously crashed. The female passenger was knocked out and it is impossible to say whether it was all due to a head blow, panic or more severe injury.
What is appalling is seeing the rider grabbing her from behind and trying to make her stand, while she obviously is unconscious. Instead of trying to wake her and check with her status, this fellow look more like doing a Heimlich.
Hope the girl was alright.
