I will never be able to understand how people who ride motorcycles and scooter will allow greenhorns to throw a leg over these machines without even wearing a helmet.
I could skip the rather reasonable idea of actually wearing so much more protective gear than a simple helmet the first time one gets on a motorcycle. But really, are these chaps completely stupid?
Riding and crashing are as natural as breathing is and each day there probably are thousands of people becoming severely injured, maimed and even dying in motorcycle and scooter crashes. Guess who's in the front pack of the the death and injury charts? The guys not wearing helmets.
So if the noob's ignorance is understandable to some degree, the one already riding should do the thinking instead. Unless he or she is just as ignorant, that is.
Sorry, but this is almost suicide. And if you believe I am only exaggerating, try to picture this crash ending with a full-on impact of the girl's face into the very edge of the trailer. Not exactly funny anymore, is it?
