Girl Learning How to Ride a CBR1000RR Crashes Silly

Easy does it. No, it doesn't. 1 photo

Girls can ride 1000cc motorcycles very well, and that's a fact. However, when doing so for the first time, there are a lot of things that can go wrong, even if the bike is not running or moving. And shorter guys riding bikes that are a tad too tall for them know this too well.
That is because a motorcycle in movement has a natural tendency to remain upright, and balance-related problems become more stringent as speed slows down. This is exactly what happened this time, and thankfully, we did not get to see an ankle breaking in this video.

Seeing her right leg getting almost caught beneath the bike and her knee on the curb gave us a bit of shiver, as double fibula and tibia fractures are only too common in such scenarios. But she was lucky this time.

According to the description of the video, her boyfriend was trying to get her used to riding liter-class bikes, and had her on his Honda. The engine was not running, as he pushed her gently downhill, to feel how the bike responds.

All went okay until she reached the end of the slope and the bike slowed down to a halt, which is when things went awry. Instead of keeping cool and putting a foot on the ground on the one side of the bike, preferably the left one and lowering the kickstand, the young lady simply flips to the right.

Such crashes do happen from time to time to seasoned riders who are a bit absent-minded at a given moment in time, so it's no big deal. However, maybe having both the girl and the bike in another place than a street with traffic could have been a much better idea.

If she needed to feel the bike, an empty parking lot would have made more sense. Also, it's hard to tell how much experience the girl has, but it certainly looks like it's not much at all.
