Girls on bikes is a very cool thing, surpassed only by girls actually riding motorcycle. But how about girls building their own bikes and riding? Sofi Tsingo is such a fine young lady, never afraid to get her hands dirty repairing your Ducati... because she is a Ducati Certified Tech! Yep, we didn't see that one coming, either.
Sofi has been on a bike while she was still wearing diapers, she confesses, and her father was responsible for her actual passion. An aircraft/ bike mechanic and enthusiast rider, Sofi's father passed his skills onto his daughter, and years later here she is, with a Honda CB550 she customized herself.
A Harley provided the hubs for the laced Excel rims and the headlight, while a Benelli sourced the cafe-racer-approved fuel tank. A GSX750R provided the massive, aggressive upside down forks and calipers which now squeeze on a CBR 600RR pair of rotors. Seat and rear cowl had to be hand-made to fit the new subframe and match the Benelli tank line.
The engine got a full rebuild, high-performance carbs and filters, top-drawer ignition and remade exhaust line. And the dual underseat retro-look Hagon shocks resembling a monster monoshock are simply awesome. Now, that's how a girl build a bike! Hats off, ma'am!
