Giants’ Ex Player Kung Fu Panda Goes Custom with His 2015 Cadillac Escalade

What’s the best way to start fresh if not a brand new car? Sure, you can also get the old one to look new simply by upgrading its features or its exterior. It’s similar to what beautiful women do when they feel like a fresh haircut will make them look even better. And believe it or not, it usually works just perfect. And we’re talking about cars, of course.

OK, but who is this Kung Fu Panda person? No, it’s not the cartoon character. Our reference points out to the Venezuelan professional baseball third baseman playing for the Boston Red Sox. Pablo Emilio Juan Pedro Sandoval, Jr. (stop and… now breath) on his real name, that’s how fans nicknamed the 28-year old baseball player.

Whether it’s because Sandoval is a 5 foot 11 inch (1.80m), 240-pound (109kg) switch hitter or because of his way of hitting that ball, it’s not our place to say, but you get the point.

Sure a man with a rather imposing stature won’t just drive city cars especially that the fellow is successful enough to afford basically any vehicle he desires. With a couple of years of hard work, which included losing weight and getting over some injuries, in Game 1 of the 2012 World Series, he joined Babe Ruth, Reggie Jackson and Albert Pujols as the only players to hit three home runs in a World Series Game. For his contributions, the sportsman was named the World Series Most Valuable Player as the Giants swept the Detroit Tigers.

It was about two months ago when Sandoval came to an agreement with the Boston Red Sox. It’s a five-year contract for $100 million with a club option for a sixth year. Reports are Pablo chose the Red Sox instead of the Giants for whom he played several years, because he wanted a change in environment.

And when these sportsmen go for a big change in their career, the natural next step they take is buying a car. Since Kung Fu Panda is pretty close to Miami-based auto shop owner Alex Varga, the first thing he did with the new Cadillac Escalade was getting some custom approval.

The machine sure got as mean as possible, with a blacked out finish, AV19 Forged Wheels and some serious low-rider bumpers. He even got the number 48 engraved in the grill, which is the number he wears on field.

Panda or no Panda, we sure know who the winner is.
