Winter can be a fun season, don’t get me wrong, but there are a lot of things that you simply can’t do because of it, especially if you live in areas of the world where it also tends to snow. Over there, driving a sportscar during the coldest months of the year is simply an impossible task.
That means that the most beautiful rides have to be parked and SUVs show up on most public roads, taking up more space and looking rather dull to be perfectly frank. Therefore, call me a hopeless romantic but I just wanted to remember how summer and spring feel like.

And what they mean to the automotive enthusiast such as myself is that huge rims and low cars make a comeback, such as the M6 Gran Coupe in the adjacent photo gallery.

This beauty is definitely not fit to be used as a snow plow. It would make due with that Akrym carbon fiber front splitter that gets so close to the ground, but the end result would leave me (and its owner, I’m sure) in tears.

Then there’s the KW sleeve kit and the wheels that give it a proper stance. The latter come from Velos Designwerks and are part of the S3 range, measuring 21x11 inches in the back and 21x9.5 up front. Yeah, they’re impressive alright.

Other changes include catted downpipes as well as a Velos engine tune that bumped the 560 HP and 501 lb-ft (680 Nm) of torque coming from the 4.4-liter V8 under the bonnet to the wheels.

Oh, how good this thing looks. How much more of this ... winter stuff... do we have to put up with?
