You thought BMW’s M3 Pick-Up was a ridiculous, waste of time? How about tow truck? Not just any tow truck but one that uses the body from a BMW E21 3 Series model. That’s the definition of ridiculous!
Apparently, this beauty has been going around Virginia for 13,327 miles now (21,456 km) and was recently put up for auction on Copart.com, the website of a company that deals in such matters.

The car has everything it needs to function as a tow truck, the rear half of it being converted to serve to such purposes, lift and wheels included too. Fortunately, the car’s rear-wheel-drive platform was kept intact and therefore, you can carry around big things easier.

Unfortunately, the ad is very brief and we don’t have too much information about this ‘hybrid’ at the moment but we think we’re safe to assume that this car wasn’t officially built by BMW, even though it looks like the real deal.

All the work on it seems to have been done by a perfectionist and abides by every rule a true gearhead would have. Furthermore, the engine up front is a 2-liter petrol unit with Bosch K-Jetronic fuel-injection, making 127 HP that might be just enough for you to carry all sorts of vehicles around.

Even so, the speedometer shows this Bimmer’s limits, being graded only up to 80 mph (around 130 km/h) that might be pretty hard to achieve without any sort of load on it...
