Get Inside the Real Batcave via Google Streetview, Batmobile Included

Two of the nation's most beloved superheroes, Batman and Superman, are currently going head to head in the recently released blockbuster "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," and it would appear the former has left home and forgot to lock the front door.

A partnership between Google and Warner Brothers allows everyone with an Internet connection to have a virtual stroll inside the residence of a certain Bruce Wayne, Batman's alter-ego. Or is it the other way around?

This isn't some trick that owes everything to the advancement of computer generated graphics and special effects: it is as real as the cave of a man who dresses up as a bat and fights bad people (and, occasionally, Superman) can get. It is the set used in the movie, and unlike other decors used in filmmaking, this one looks to be a complete building stuffed with everything a hi-tech vigilante would need.

The movie itself is said to be a little disappointing, but since I haven't seen it yet, I can't comment on that. What I can talk about is the beautiful story built around the Batman character throughout his whole history (from comics to films and now video games), and there's plenty of interesting bits to be found inside the Bat's lair.

For instance, there's the new Batmobile, a nice return to a slimmer vehicle from the Hummer-like Tumbler. Then there are Batman's weapons and gear, as well as a Robin costume (Batman's sidekick) that still bears the marks of its encounter with the Joker (a villain of the series). The whole place retains the dark atmosphere you would expect this place to have, and if you're lucky enough to own a virtual reality headset (or at least a Google Cardboard), then you're definitely in for a visual treat.

All you need to do is go to this link, and then enter Bruce Wayne's modern yet dull residence. After looking around a little, walk down the hallway and venture deeper into the Batcave. If you suddenly feel cold, then you're definitely in the mood for this, so you're sure to enjoy the visit. Not that there's much not to enjoy.
