German Pensioner Sentenced to Knit Sweaters After Slashing Tires

There is nothing worse for a guy than finding his car with its tires slashed or a big key scratch on the side. It is at that point that you try to remember all your past one night stands or any disgruntled ex-girlfriends in order to know who to blame (though in many cases you have yourself to blame).

This was the case with some 50 German motorists who found their cars ran on flats after a local granny decided she was fed up with all the cars parked on the street in front of her home. The maverick grandma decided to take matters into her own hands and give back the peace and quite to her cul-de-sac once and for all.

What did the 89-year-old Heidi Kohl decide to do? Instead of speaking to authorities and demanding more parking spaces, she chose to punish the audacious people parked in front of her residence by putting blade to rubber. She must have been really pissed, because exactly 50 tires fell to the hand of the knife-wielding nana. That's one gangster granny right there! She must have been the scourge of the neighborhood back in the day.

Her reign of terror on the car owners which were unfortunate enough to live on the same street, ended when she was spotted by a neighbor and promptly reported to the police. During interrogation, she confessed to her crime and motivated her actions with being “fed up” with so many people parking in front of her home.

The punishment came in the form of a hefty fine, but when the grandma complained that she hadn't the money to pay for her infractions, the authorities came up with what has to be the weirdest form of retribution ever: Heidi Kohl was then sentenced to knit sweaters for all the car owners she'd damaged!

We're a bit curious as to how that works, but taking into consideration that the event took place in Germany, we're convinced the decision will be enforced and carried out accordingly, knowing how Germans feel about their automobiles.

But what about the other cars left in the neighborhood? Will they be safe from further attacks? It would seem so, because prosecutors say the granny has already moved into a retirement home, away from any tires or parked cars. But it's safe to say she kept the knife. The only slashing she'll be doing from now on will be on wheelchair tires.
