George Clooney is getting rid of his brand new Harley Davidson, in a bid to do some good for a cause and keep his wife Amal happy. Here’s your chance to get your hands on it.
The actor’s 2017 Dresser Touring Ultra Limited FLHTK Harley Davidson is up on the auction block, with bids starting at $25,000 (it retails for about $28,000). All proceeds from the sale will go to Home For Our Troops, which will be building homes for severely injured vets. The eBay auction page mentions that the decision was influenced by Amal as well.
“Ever since George Clooney’s motorcycle accident, his wife Amal has told him he’s off two wheels for good. George just bought a brand new dresser Harley with only 25 MILES ON THE ODOMETER!— all yours if you win the bidding. You’re responsible for pickup in Los Angeles. George will even sign it for you!!!” the text reads.
So, if you’re 18 and can travel to LA to pick up the bike in person, now’s your chance. The actor will autograph it on the tank and you have the possibility to have the signature customized.
The bike, which Clooney bought most recently, comes with manual transmission and 6 speeds, and can seat 2 people. All technical details are available on the auction page.
In July this year, Clooney was involved in a serious accident while on his way to a movie set in Sardinia, Italy. His scooter was hit by an oncoming car at an intersection, which sent him flying through the air about 20 feet, before hitting the tarmac.
Considering the impact, the actor was lucky to walk away without considerable injury. His helmet took the brunt of the collision and saved his life. He still agreed to go to the hospital for a checkup and was released a few hours later.
Clooney hasn’t been seen riding since then.
