As long as Peugeot and Renault haven’t taken car of this issue, a private company called Genty Automobile has taken it upon themselves to create France’s supercar of choice. The bad news is that it’s being presented to the world via a computer generated video. The good news, however, is that it promises to bring 1,000 horsepower to the game.
The Akylone is supposedly a very serious fighter in the supercar horsepower war, thanks to a 4.8-litre twin-turbo V8. Whether it lives up to its promise or not is still a matter of us having to wait and them having to deliver.
Nevertheless, true supercars used to be created by Lamborghini and Ferrari in a matter of decades back in the day, so a bit of patience is in order.
We’re inclined to do this because the company has promised a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.7 seconds and a top speed of 354 Km/h (220 mph). With only 15 to be built, we’re not really the ones that are waiting though.
