Some may call this lazy, but we’ll go ahead and call it what it is: this is brilliant. A gardener is making waves online thanks to a viral video showing him doing his job on a Segway.
You often hear people complaining that we as a society are getting too lazy to do stuff anymore. We’re too lazy to walk so we’re riding electric scooters, we don’t talk face to face anymore because we forge and maintain relationships in the virtual realm, and the list could go on.

Here’s an example of technology being put to excellent use, in what is clearly a case of a genius thinking, “what could I do to work smarter, move faster and get the job done with less effort?”

Weedeating is time consuming and can be frustrating. Having to weedeat large chunks of grass can only add to the frustration, so this dude from Mooresburg, Tennessee, got the right idea: he hopped on his Segway and did the job at the maximum speed it could travel at. Which is about 10mph, so not bad at all.

Weedeating a subdivision was taking too long, so I decided to speed things up. Weed eating a curb on a Segway-Ninebot,” the caption to the video reads.

This actually happened a couple of weeks ago, but it’s just now that the video is picking up traction online and going viral.

You can find the video at the bottom of the page. One might argue that it was made with the goal of having it go viral, since the dude even asked someone in a car to film him for almost 5 full minutes while he was doing his job.

That might very well be the case, but it doesn’t take away from his merits. He is a good gardener who makes the most of his time – hopefully, while still doing as good a job as he can.
