While apps like Spotify and Deezer are currently the top choices for those who want to listen to their favorite music when driving with Android Auto on the car’s screen, there are so many other choices out there.
And more recently, the world of apps that allow you to listen to music behind the wheel got a rather surprising new member: a new app that brings the Grand Theft Auto V radio to Android Auto.
The app is created by the same developer who built Auri Music, an awesome Android Auto music player that puts you in full control of the local library.
The dev explains that the idea to create such an app came after completing the single player campaign in GTA V.
“I have recently played the single player campaign of GTA5 again and thought I'd create a small app that let's you listen to the in-game radio from within your car. This was more of a personal project but I thought I'd share it with you in case anyone was looking for something like this,” he says on reddit.
All you need to do after installing the app is download your favorite radio stations.
The radio stations in Grand Theft Auto are absolutely awesome, and they come in a pretty large number with various genres for everybody.
While one of the most popular is Radio Los Santos, which typically plays modern rap, I also enjoyed West Coast Classics, mostly because it offers West Coast rap created during the ‘80s and the ‘90s. One of the top hits on this station is the ’96 2Pac single “Ambitions Az a Ridah.”
For what it’s worth, the application isn’t published in the Google Play Store, but you can find it on the reddit page here if you want to download the standalone APK installer. The VirusTotal log, which shows the APK file is completely clean, is available here.
