The Pagani Zonda might have the same sort of power as a Ferrari F12berlinetta or Lamborghini Aventador, but its design is so brave, so radical that it plays in a completely different ballpark. Just look at this creature, on display for the first time in Geneva, and tell us it's not theatrical.
Now, we’re not saying the Huayra is all-new in Geneva, just that this yellow and carbon creation is pleasing our eyes for the very first time. This particular supercar has been ordered by a customer in Asia, who will be happily welcoming it to his car collection right after Pagani is done showing it off.

There is so much you can say about it, none of it being understated. With its carbon fiber inner secrets showing as they are, it's doing a pretty good interpretation of two superheroes: Batman and his mask from the front and Iron Man from every angle, since all those hydraulics are showing. A supercar acting like a superhero – isn't that the way things should have been all along?!

Our expectations were that a yellow Pagani would look ridiculous, but it’s the exact opposite of that. Bright colors seem to suit it much better than understated metallic gray tones and we really have to commend the future Chinese owner for doing the right thing here.

The Facts!

“Huayra” is a name Pagani got from a South American god of wind. It’s probably not as cool as a Spanish fighting bull, but it goes really well with the flowing lines of the car, which are different to the jagged edges of the Zonda. The twin-turbo 6-liter V12 has been specially tuned for this car by AMG. This could be the best sounding turbo engine in the world, though we’re not sure you can be subjective about engine sounds. Every inch of this machine has been designed to be a thing of beauty, like the simple and yet striking four exhaust pipes, which have been bundled together in the middle of the hind quarters. Even the nuts and bolts on this thing are designed to be beautiful, being made from titanium.

If that sounds fancy, how about the fact that the body blends carbon fiber and titanium together for and even stronger, ligher architecture that won't desintegrate in a crash like normal carbon does.
