Audi has played one of its traditional tricks again and brought the new RS4 to the world in Avant (station wagon) form, with the vehicle shining on the Geneva floor. The family machine is powered by the RS5 Coupe’s naturally-aspirated 4.2-liter V8 that delivers 450 hp at a wife-screaming 8,250 rpm and 430 Nm (317.15 lb-ft) which are offered between 4,000 and 6,000 rpm, so the kids can enjoy it.
The unit is mated to Audi’s seven-speed dual clutch S-Tronic transmission and sends its power to the road via a quattro awd system that comes with a default power split ration of 40:60 (front:rear). However, if you decide to show the car who its daddy is, the front axle can get up to 85 percent of the power, while the front one car received up to 70 percent.

Give your loved ones a set of stopwatches and they’ll tell you that the car deals with the 0 to 62 mph sprint in 4.7 seconds, while the top speed sits at 155 mph (250 km/h), or 174 mph (280 km/h), if you opt for this.

The list of upgraded tech goodies also includes the brakes, suspension, steering, as well as the connection to the road, with the vehicle riding on 19- or 20-inch rims. The 2013 Audi RS4 Avant is set to hit dealerships across Europe this fall, being offered for a starting price of EUR76,600 (USD99,900). Let’s all get together before dinner and pray that Audi also brings it to the US.
