We hereby bring you one of the few vehicles (if not the only one) with less than four wheels that are being showcased at the Geneva Auto Show these days: the 2011 Morgan 3 Wheeler. Presented as a fusion of modern technology into a classic design, the vehicle is road-legal in both Europe and the United States.

Powered by the latest 1800cc V Twin engine (100 bhp) and a Mazda 5 speed gearbox, the vehicle tips the scales at approximately 500 kg (1,102 lbs). The Morgan 3 Wheeler is capable of accelerating from naught to sixty in 4.5 seconds and go on to a top speed of about 115 mph (185 km/h).

Interior highlights include leather upholstery, aircraft-inspired instrumentation, a 'Bomb release' starter button. “The attractive themes apparent in the successful Sport range of traditional Morgans forms the basis of the specification of the cars,” a company statement reads.

“A sturdy tubular frame and two rollover bars surround the passenger compartment. An aerodynamic super formed ‘bullet’ hull protects the occupants from the weather. However the feeling of freedom and contact with the road through the front wheels will bring to mind the joy of driving cars from the 20’s and 30’s but with none of their fragility or temperament. A leather padded aircraft style cockpit indulges the feeling of ‘flying through the air’,”
the manufacturer says.

The 2011 Morgan 3 Wheeler will be launched later this year and pre-tax pricing starts at £25,000 (€29,150 / $40,180). Eight Sport colours with black detailing and a choice of black or tan leather will be offered.
