ABT has brought three important soldiers to the aftermarket battle of the Geneva Auto Show: the R8 GTS, the tweaked version of the A6 and a gently-touched incarnation of the A7. As we already showed you what the first two are about, it is now time to talk about the last one.

The A7 has seen multiple of its areas being refined, but the mods don’t take things too far. Don’t get us wrong now, this is not necessarily a bad thing.

The engine mods are the same ones offered for the A6. The tuner upgrades the vehicle’s 3.0 TDI unit from the standard 245 hp and 450 Nm of torque to 282 hp and 500 Nm or 310 hp and 610 Nm. As for the 3.0-liter TFSI supercharged petrol unit, this has seen its power being increased from 300 to 410 hp.

For us the A7 is a car whose optical qualities also must be reflected in its driving performance. We think that the diesel engine suits the A7 perfectly, as it combines torque and unbridled power with the highest possible economy," says Christian Abt, the General Manager of the company.

The vehicle received multiple subtle exterior elements, such as a new front spoiler, side skirts, a rear skirt and four tailpipes.

The A7 now rides on custom alloy rims that come in sizes ranging from 19- to 21-inch. The connection to the road has been further refined through the use of a Level Control module for the air suspension.
