The General Lee Dodge Charger must’ve received about one million replicas until now, but we’ve never seen one as amusing as the thing pictured above.
Believe it or not, somebody decided to give a Reliant Robin a General Lee livery. The adjacent photo of the creature recently showed up on Twitter.
Sure, this could be the budget version of the actual car, but there may be one or two problems with it. First of all, they couldn’t weld the doors. Doing so would’ve probably caused the... ahem... composite bodywork to catch fire.
Even if they did seal the door in place for the signature on-the-window entrance, the three-wheeled setup would probably cause the Reliant Robin to tipple over at the start of each episode.
Nevertheless, the same setup could be used fro some pretty cool stunts through the corners. As for the cool factor, that’s another thing...
