While the Shelby GT500 prepares to get 620 horsepower from a 5.8-liter V8 unit in 2013, the German tuners at GeigerCars have taken the current variant of the muscle car and decided to spice things up a bit. Some may think the standard version of the GT500 would be more than enough, but GeigerCars is showing them different with their GT640 Golden Snake.

The Munich-based specialists have thus developed a demo vehicle that comes with both performance and visual upgrades, and which carries a price tag of EUR89,000 (about $126,550 at the current exchange rate).

But before you go on checking your bank accounts, let’s see what Golden Snake brings to the table. First, in terms of visual appearance, the car comes in a matte gold exterior with a carbon fiber hood, a front lip spoiler and extended side skirts. In addition to that, the tuning company also installed adjustable H&R sports suspension.

Creating the physical and visual connection to the road are the black 20-inch Geiger alloy wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires. Interior highlights comprise a high-quality sound system with EU navigation.

Now that we’ve got the aesthetics part covered, let’s see what GeirCars has done in the performance area. the 5.4-liter V8 unit in the GT500 has received a supercharger, a revised ECU, and a stainless steel sport exhaust system. These modifications enabled a power increase to 631 horsepower and 789 Nm (582 lb-ft) of torque, which allows the Golden Snake to sprint from 0-100 km/h in 3.7 seconds, before hitting a top speed of 295 km/h (183 mph).
