The mad GeigerCars tuner has released another one of its extreme projects, this time targeting the Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport.

The German tuner has played with the car’s LS3 6.2 liter V8 engine, which offered 430 hp and 424 lb-ft of torque (575 Nm) when it left the factory. The unit has received a 2.3 liter supercharger that offers a 0.6 bar boost pressure, a dry sump lubrication system and a differential cooler, developing an impressive 596 hp and 544 lb-ft of torque (738 Nm). The car’s six speed manual transmission has had its 5th and 6th gear ratios modified.

As a result, the GeigerCars Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport needs lees then four seconds to reach 62 mph (100km/h) and offers a top speed of 209 mph (337 km/h).

The vehicles offers matching stopping power, as it features a high performance braking system that uses 355mm rotors & six piston calipers for the front wheels and 340 mm rotors with four pistons calipers for the rear axle. The tuning house has also upgraded the suspension system, installing new sway bars, shock absorbers and springs.

The custom Corvette rides on 18 or 19 inch alloy rims wrapped in 275/35 (front) & 325/30 tires (rear) and wears a set of special decals on its front fenders, bonnet and boot lid.

"The name "Grand Sport" is entrenched in the racing history of the Chevrolet Corvette. Now, for the 2010 model year, there is a new edition that evokes memories of the racecars of the seventies - and Geigercars has already given these rockets an additional performance upgrade," stated the press release.
