GE Selling EV Fast Charging Stations on Amazon

General Electric has announced today that their WallStation wall mounted fast charging station for electric vehicles will be sold directly to US owners of EVs and plug-in hybrids via the Amazon online store.
The devices is priced at a reasonable $1,099 per unit, which also covers the shipping costs. They’ve even gone as far as making a dedicated commercial, showing the merits of the device and the practicality of charging your EV from it.

Promising to charge up your car in as little as four to eight hours, the GE WallStation also boasts a flexible cord that wraps around the device instead of using a coiler.

“As demand and interest in the GE WattStation continues to grow, we’re excited to give our customers an easy way to purchase the charger,” said Sergio Corbo, chief marketing officer for GE Energy’s Industrial Solutions business. “We believe the product is well-suited to an online purchasing experience.”
