Gazoo Racing Toyota Yaris Turbo Concept

When I was really young, the superminis were really super. The 2000 Civic Type R was a real nuter, the Clio Sport was cuter and then there was something called the Corolla T sport, which has no modern equivalent. But perhaps that could change, and I’m really hoping Toyota can spice things up a bit, and the Yaris would be the perfect place to start.
The automaker’s motorsport partner Gazoo Racing has unveiled this, the Vitz (or Yaris if you live in Europe or the US) Turbo Concept at the 2012 Tokyo Auto Salon. The big news is that they’ve turbocharged a 1.5-liter engine to produce 180 hp and torque of 220Nm (162.3 lb-ft).

The Gazoo Racing tuned Yaris also comes with 18-inch alloys, a bright paintjob, lowed suspension and a whole bunch of other mods that make it awesome. The body kit also widenes the side profile and creates room for a new, bugger grille, while also adding ground effects.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
