The Lexus LFA can be considered a forbidden fruit by most people since only 500 are to be build and all cost more than a Ferrari 458. But, in Japan, the LFA is also a crowd pleaser. Just like Americans would gather to see the latest racing Corvette being hooned, so too will the Japanese gather to see an LFA doing donuts with smoke coming off the back tires.
This is Toyota’s idea of a Nurburgring 24 Hours endurance racer, built and fielded by their long-time partners at Gazoo Racing. This video was shot at a weekend event in a small Tokyo parking lot.
The car has won many races since its debut in 2010 and has played a key role in the development of the actual road version of the LFA. It’s also proved the quality, durability and reliability by pushing cutting-edge technology to the extremes of mechanical endurance on the track.
