It's not the first time either Ulfert Janssen or NZI helmets are present here, but this is the first time these two names are presented in conjunction. NZI is a Spanish motorcycle helmet manufacturer while Janssen is making a name for Gannet Design in transport design. The result of their collaboration is a range of retro-themed helmets that are simply perfect if you ride a classic bike.
These helmets are in fact part of the new catalog, and the series is entitled the Garage Collection. One of the coolest things about Ulfert Janssen is that he works with both cars and motorcycles with pretty much the same ease and pleasure, so the new collection also includes two Porsche-themed Roadracer lids.
As for the rest, Gannet Design preferred to work with classic themes. NZI's newest garage lids come with Scrambler, cafe-racer and even retro concept bike decorations.
The color palette is rather spartan and evokes the racing-themed prints half a century ago, enhancing the vibe of road races of yore. Even though most of the NZI lids are open-face ones, the Garage Collection also includes two full-face helmets, for those who value the extra protection they provide when the going gets tough.
Having motorcycle designers working on new graphics might provide NZI with a most welcome boost, and a new trend might start even. That is, having cool helmets with neat retro-themed graphics offered for a fraction of the price similar lids can be had for. And we can only hope this collaboration continues and delivers even more goodies.
