Gallardo LP 570-4 Superleggera Official Pictures and Info

We were just checking our dedicated timer to see how many hours separate us from the Geneva Auto Show’s start when we were literally hit by a piece of Lamborghini News: the introduction of the Gallardo LP 570-4 Superleggera. We have to start with the car’s weight: as it has been on a carbon fiber and polycarbonate (side & rear windows) diet, the new Lambo tips the scale at 1340 Kilograms (2954 lb), being 70 kilograms (154 lb) lighter than the Gallardo LP 560-4 it is based on. This makes it the lightest road creature in Lambo’s current range. Now that we’ve explained the “Superleggera”. let’s move on to the “570”. The car’s engine has been convinced to produce 10 more horsepower, offering a total of 570HP. This gives the hypercar a weight to power ratio of 2.35 kilograms per HP. How does this translate in real world figures? Pretty brutal actually. The first hundred is dealt within 3.4 seconds. Want some more? the 200 km/h mark is left behind after 10.2 seconds - from a standing start. If you keep on playing, the car will reach 325 km/h (202 mph). The car features new aerodynamic elements, such as a redesigned front apron, a fully covered underbody, a fresh diffuser and a bespoke rear spoiler. Posers are kindly asked to check the BIG rear spoiler option available on the list. Even though this is a Superleggera, its passenger can still enjoy air conditioning and electric power window. Interior carbon fiber elements, such as the center tunnel cover and the door panels, compensate for the weight of the comfort features. As expected, the car’s occupant are spoiled with features such as exterior matching seat trims and stitching. autoevolution will be attending the 2010 Geneva Auto Show, so stay tuned for some real up close and personal shots of the vehicles, as well as for first-hand details of the motorized contraptions presented at the event.
