Gallardo enters the gym, Superleggera comes out

Even though this will be a very exclusive car, its production volume being restricted to even lower numbers than the standard Gallardo, a new supercar is coming our way, namely the Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera. This is an improved version of the Gallardo model, a Lamborghini that went to the gym and lost about 100 kilos and gained an additional 10 HP in strength.

After losing weight and gaining in strength, the new Lamborghini has a notable weight to power ratio now - 2.5 kg/hp - which makes it go from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds, improving the time of the regular Gallardo by 0.2 seconds. You could say that 0.2 seconds don't really matter that much because you can lose them by shifting gears. Well, this issue is also resolved, because the Lamborghini engineers have equipped the Superleggera with the mechanical “e-gear” gearbox, which allows you to shift gears without taking your hands from the steering wheel, nor your foot from the accelerator.

You can attempt to order one starting with March of this year, but chances are slim to get your hands on this 530 horsepower V10 beast. As standard options, the Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera will have the mechanical e-gear gearbox, special suede-covered steering wheel and a sports package which includes different shock absorbers. As always, Lamborghini isn't very generous with the color range, the only colors available for now being Midas Yellow, Borealis Orange, Telesto Gray and Noctis Black.

The Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires also come as standard, but what would those tires be without the Scorpius forged rims? To top it all, you might go all out and order the multimedia system with navigator and CD-changer, the rear video camera for parking, the four-point seatbelt and carbon-ceramic brakes.
