According to teamspeed, the first of these will be the Gallardo Bicolore special edition which is expected to be launched by 2011, most likely in the Detroit Auto show and deliveries are to start in February 2011.
Gallardo Bicolore will be offered with ‘duotone’ color scheme, a set of new Callisto rims, and sportier interiors compared to Gallardo SE and also some 20 more horsepower. Potential buyers will be able to choose between a few unnamed colors (gray, white, yellow, orange and green) which will always be combined with a continuous black roof and engine cover. The special edition is sure to be based on Gallardo LP560-4 edition.
The 560-4 is powered by the same 5.2-liter V10 direct injection engine, with improved power and torque over previous generations. The car is also 20 kg (44 lb) lighter than 2008 base Gallardo. Transmission choices include six-speed manual or a six-speed E-gear, with E-gear revised to change gears 40% quicker than before.
Last week, the Lamborghini Gallardo Bicolore and Tricolore names have been registered, which seems to confirm the rumors. All new Lamborghinis have a habit of creating a lot of speculation around them, and the two models are no exception. However, nothing has been officially revealed yet.
