G-Power’s products are usually showing outrageous levels of power and torque but most of the time it’s due to their own ASA superchargers and plenty more modifications done to the project cars. This time, the German tuner unveiled its take on a BMW that doesn’t involve changing half the powertrain.
Their version of the M6 Gran Coupe is more impressive than ever. According to them, the car has no less than 740 HP and 975 Nm (719 lb-ft) of torque now, an increase of 180 HP and 295 Nm (217 lb-ft) of torque compared to the stock values.
This result is achieved thanks to their new piggybank upgrade that reflashes the ECU map to make it squeeze more power out of the 4.4-liter twin-turbo engine under the bonnet. That’s not all though.
The extra power translates into a bigger fuel consumption at full throttle and, in turn, more exhaust gases needing to find a way out of the engine bay. Therefore, a new exhaust system had to be installed, this one also G-Power’s own creation.
Made of titanium, the new system is catalyst free and has new downpipes as well as new resonators installed just behind them, for a better sound. Thanks to the bigger diameter of the pipes (100 mm), the car has a new sound, with a deep growl, typical for V8 engines. It’s also 12 kilograms lighter than the stock version.
The extra power also comes with a new suspension to keep the car in check, 21 inch G-Power Hurricane RR forged wheels and a new braking system featuring six-piston calipers up front working on 420mm rotors made of carbon. Pricing is not available at the moment.
