Let’s talk about the base car for a second! The M3 GTS’s 450 horsepower lightweight body and purposeful looks make it a close match even for some Porsches, and its could arguably be called one of the best 3-Series models of the current generation. But this clearly wasn’t enough for G-Power!
The story is that 3 of these remarkable BMWs found their way immediately into the G-POWER workshops. They waisted no time and set to work, creating “Sporty Drive” supercharger system, which boosted total output from 450 hp to 635 hp and 630 Nm of torque, thanks to the remarkable ASA supercharger that is used in the ALPINA B5S, B6S and B7S models, but also in the ALPINA B6 GT3.
At the back end of all things tuning, G-Power fitted a lightweight, all-titanium exhaust system, which delivered the necessary reduction in exhaust back pressure. The ECU system also had to be reworked in order to suit the supercharged setup. The M3 GTS had already endured a radical weight loss program, but the tuners managed to shave off bit extra here and there, with the addition of a carbon-fiber airbox being one of the areas where this was achieved.
If 635 horsepower and a loud exhaust wasn’t enough to impress you, than how about this: the G-Power M3 GTS with 635 hp completes the standard sprints from 0-100 km/h (62 mph) and 0-200 km/h (124 mph) in 4.2s and 11.9s. Top speed is 323 km/h (200.7 mph). These figures have been clocked by the German car journal “sport auto” during their latest test of the G-POWER M3 GTS that have been published on Friday May 20th.
