It’s been rather confusing buying new BMW cars lately as it would seem that no matter how much power they make, they all tap out at 250 km/h (155 mph). This gentleman’s agreement that most manufacturers abide to out there is definitely annoying for some, especially those living next to an unrestricted Autobahn.
People and tuners alike have been searching for a way to derestrict their cars for quite some time. While some manufacturers allow you to do that with a quick visit to their shop, others will only raise the limit to a higher value and still keep you in check in a way or another.

One such example is BMW offering you the M Driver’s Package, which will theoretically allow your car to go a few extra mph on the clock, depending on the model. For the M3 and M4 for example, the 155 mph (250 km/h) limit can be raised to 174 mph (280 km/h) while on the M5 and M6 you could go as high as 189 mph (305 km/h).

That’s still less than what the cars are actually capable of. Therefore, G-Force has just unveiled a new product that will remove all limitations on your car. It’s called V-MAX and promises to allow you to go as high as 330 km/h (205 mph). You might say that’s not enough but the laws of physics will say otherwise.

The price for this upgrade is €3,451 ($4,298) without the installation tax that is €108,39 ($135) including 19% VAT, for the M3. For the F82 M4, for some reason, the price is higher, at €4,641 ($5,779). The installation price remains the same.

Don’t think that only the M3 and M4 are available with this part. All the other BMW models can benefit from this ‘derestrictor’ but have different prices. If you’re interested you should check G-Power’s website but we’ll tell you right now that they’re not cheap at all and will have you wondering if it’s truly worth the purchase.
