It was about high time for G-Power to finally shows us what they can do with the S55 engine on the new M3 and M4 models from BMW. The German tuner known for its absurdly powerful creations that can easily reach 200 mph finally unveiled its take for the M cars.

Their performance upgrade takes the power output of the 3-liter inline 6-cylinder twin-turbo mill up to 560 HP and 720 Nm (531 lb-ft) of torque from the stock 431 HP and 550 Nm (406 lb-ft). The upgrade is made using a new ECU map and not a piggyback tune.

Therefore, the engine is better optimized for a longer lifespan. The G-Power Bi-Tronik 2 V2 ECU map overwrites the original map, despite the 128-bit encryption the Germans have put in place.

Of course, a new exhaust is also needed, the prototype in the adjacent images using G-Power’s own titanium exhaust with custom downpipes as well for less back pressure. The 90 mm tailpipes are available in titanium or carbon finish. Overall, the weight savings brought along by this exhaust add up to 7.1 kilos and its sound can be adjusted via flaps installed in the back.

With the new parts in place, G-Power claims that the cars will now reach 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.8 seconds and the top speed governor can be removed so that they can reach a top speed of around 310 km/h (193 mph).

Last, but not least, you can also get some custom wheels for your ride, to go with the new power levels. G-Power offers 21” Hurricane RR forged allow rims in this regard, matched with Michelin tires. They can be painted in whatever color you want.
