German tuner G-Power was present at the International BMW TCC as one of the companies that helped build the E46 M3 that won first place at the Season Opener.
The Getrag racing team with Michael Bader behind the wheel brought a special M3 created with a lot of hard work and innovative technologies. The winning car was fitted with a 4-liter S65 V8 engine from a E92 M3 that was taken up to 650 HP thanks to a system from G-Power comprised of an ASA Supercharger and a custom intercooler and exhaust.

Being the only supercharged car at the starting grid, the M3 finished in first place in its class and achieved an overall 4th place standing out of 47 competitors (amongst which you could find cars like Porsche GT2, Porsche GT3 RS, Lamborghini Gallardo FL2 and others).

The ASA T1-523 supercharger used in the race was tailor-made for this competition in order to allow the engine to rev up to 8,500 RPM. However, a highly sophisticated computer aided simulation software was also necessary in order to constantly check the condition of the air-ducting engine parts.

Not only the new G-Power managed to increase the power levels up to outstanding numbers but it also managed to do it whilst keeping the fuel consumption in check. All the data obtained during the race will then be used to develop new aftermarket solutions for BMW enthusiasts. Good news for us!
