It's safe to say that Mercedes-Benz G 500 owners aren't usually the types of people who desire flamboyant displays of power from their car, since if they were they would have probably opted for the bonkers G 63 AMG or even the G 65.
That's not say that they don't appreciate the occasional burbling of those cool side exhausts, as otherwise they would have went for something like an M-Class.
For the ones having second thoughts about the amount of sound they want from their old-school off-roader, the peeps from Supersprint just released a full exhaust system for the non-facelift Mercedes-Benz G 500 (W463), which was built from 1998 until 2008, when it received a facelift.
Consisting of a not-yet-available manifold, metallic catalytic converter and a rear exhaust muffler with twin exit pipes, the sound that the system makes is still far from the roar of a G 55 or a G 63 AMG, but it's not to say that is bad.
Checking out the following video of a G 500 fitted with it we'd say that it sounds like a rather healthy European V8 without scaring little children, which it should have from the beginning from our point of view.
